The clock is ticking for the Renewable Heat Incentive

Are you thinking about replacing your heating system for a renewable heating system?

If you are seriously thinking of installing a renewable heating system into your home, it would pay you to make your decision soon.  If you do, you could still be able to take advantage of the current government incentive scheme the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

The Renewable Heat Incentive is nearing the end, with the final date that homeowners will be able to claim this incentive, being those who have had an installation completed and commissioned before 31 March 2022.

You might think that there is plenty of time, but quality installers have at least a couple of months work already booked in and to install a suitable system for your property, as site survey, heat loss calculations and heating design for your home needs to be created before the installer can quote.

The RHI is currently a tariff of pence/kWh, payments are made for 7 years and are based on the amount of renewable heat made by your heating system. See the current rates here current Domestic RHI Tariffs under the current RHI scheme an air source heat pump installation could receive up to £9,500 and a ground source heat pump could receive up to £31,500.

This will be replaced in April 2022 with the Clean Home Grant Scheme which is predicted to pay a flat rate of £4,000.  Therefore, if you are interested in renewable heating and are sitting on the fence, it pays you to make a decision sooner, rather than later.  Give R A Brown a call on 01603 898904 to discuss your requirements.
