Charlie joined R A Brown as a semi qualified engineer In Autumn 2012, having worked for another Renewables company before. Charlie has had the opportunity to complete his Level 2 training. In his spare time Charlie is a keen footballer and dog owner, he also enjoys eating out and going to the cinema. On his wish list is to one day visit Canada.
Luke originally started as an apprentice and was awarded Apprentice of the Year 2013 by the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers. He is qualified to NVQ level 3 in Domestic Plumbing & Heating, Solar Installations, Water Regs, Unvented hot water, Rainwater Harvesting and NVQ Level 1 in Brick, Carpentry & Electrical work. His favourite part of the job is fitting out plant rooms. Luke is married and has three sons, so enjoys spending time with his family and is a very happy and enthusiastic person. He confesses to his favourite place in the world being his sofa!
Alan has worked for R A Brown since 2009, he is a Level 2 Domestic Plumbing & Heating engineer. Alan is a gas safe qualified engineer and has also completed his training on unvented systems and his Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery BPEC training. Alan’s interests include cycling and motorbikes, travelling to new places, photography & coffee. He has managed to combine all these interests on some of his travels to Europe on his motorbike. Alan’s favourite place is Hong Kong.
Toby is qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Domestic Plumbing & Heating and is currently taking his NVQ Level 3. He said he enjoys the job as he learns something new everyday. Outside of work Toby enjoys keeping both tropical and marine fish, skiing, cycling, kayaking and travelling, he also has a tortoise called Margo!
Simon joined the R A Brown team in February 2019, Simon’s role as a Plumbing Engineer involves fitting the bathroom and kitchens in conjunction with Heating Engineers projects. Simon has 30 years experience in the building trade and has previously been Corgi & OFTEC registered carrying out gas and oil boiler heating system installations. He also has 30 years service with Herts Fire & Rescue and moved to Norfolk in December 2017. Simon who comes from a big family is number 7 out of 9 children, enjoys travelling, walking the dogs on the beach, motorbikes and renovating his new home.
Dale is our Heat Pump Servicing Engineer. He qualified in 2002 at Norwich City College with Plumbing and Heating NVQ level 2 and has spent most of his career installing renewable heating systems. Dale says he enjoys meeting customers and helping fix any problems that they may having with their heating system or educating them on how best to use the controls. Outside of work, Dale enjoys beach walks with family and friends, looking out for fossils, star gazing and cloud spotting. He also enjoys cold water submersion with breathing techniques and hopes one day to visit Iceland to and take a dip in the Blue Lagoon.
