Charlie 1 as we call him (to differentiate him from the other Charlie with exactly the same surname who we hired at the same time!) joined R A Brown as a semi qualified engineer In Autumn 2012, having worked for another Renewables company before. Charlie has had the opportunity to complete his Level 2 training. In his spare time Charlie is a keen footballer and dog owner, he also enjoys eating out and going to the cinema. On his wish list is to one day visit Canada.
Luke originally started as an apprentice and was awarded Apprentice of the Year 2013 by the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers. He is qualified to NVQ level 3 in Domestic Plumbing & Heating, Solar Installations, Water Regs, Unvented hot water, Rainwater Harvesting and NVQ Level 1 in Brick, Carpentry & Electrical work. His favourite part of the job is fitting out plant rooms. Luke is married and has a son, so enjoys spending time with his family and is a very happy and enthusiastic person. He confesses to his favourite place in the world being his sofa!
Charlie 2 has been with R A Brown since 2012 and co-incidentally started on the same day as the other Charlie. He has completed his NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Plumbing & Heating.
Alan has worked for R A Brown for 8 years altogether, he is a Level 2 Domestic Plumbing & Heating engineer. Alan is a gas safe qualified engineer and has also completed his training on unvented systems and his Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery BPEC training. Alan’s interests include cycling and motorbikes, travelling to new places, photography & coffee. He has managed to combine all these interests on some of his travels to Europe on his motorbike. Alan’s favourite place is Hong Kong.
Toby is in his first year of apprenticeship currently studying Level 2 in Domestic Plumbing & Heating, after 3 years in sixth form. He said he enjoys the job as he learns something new everyday. Outside of work Toby enjoys keeping both tropical and marine fish, skiing, cycling, kayaking and travelling, he also has a tortoise called Margo!
