Amanda joined the R A Brown team in January 2014 as an Office Administrator and is now the Office Manager, she has previous experience of working in HR roles since 2005. Amanda says she really enjoys the variety in her job as there is never a dull day, she is the main customer contact for most of the phone calls which come in to the office, deals with invoicing and all the Office Management tasks to keep the office ticking over, we would be stuck without her!

Amanda is married with two sons and three grandchildren.  She loves reading, walking and planning trips away in her caravan.  She is a well travelled lady, having lived in Seoul in South Korea, Shanghai in China, Sydney Australia & Bangkok in Thailand.  She says that Bangkok was her favourite city to live in as she loved the hustle and bustle.

Amanda’s claim to fame is she has made scones for the Queen.  The Queen visited Thailand in 1996 and the Thai Catering unit for her flight had trouble making traditional English Scones for high tea, so Amanda was called to the rescue to ensure the Queen had scones for her flight home.  The crew were also kind enough to let her know the Queen had actually eaten one of Amanda’s home baked scones.
