Chalet Bungalow, ASHP, Norfolk

Mrs D was looking at making home improvements, since moving to Norfolk after living in Sweden for many years.  She is very environmentally conscious and had experience of living with a GSHP in Sweden.

She had already installed solar PV as part of her home improvements, since moving to a property which was off the gas grid and heated by an oil boiler.  She was keen to make her home more eco-friendly.

Due to the space available a GSHP wasn’t a viable option so R A Brown installed a NIBE ASHP F2040 8KW coupled with a NIBE UKV40 buffer vessel and a 200 litre hot water cylinder.
Mrs D said ‘before the installation, we were constantly turning the heating on and off, now the heating is on all the time at a constant 22 degrees and I don’t even have to think about it, it is such an easy system to manage’

Mrs D said ‘I would recommend this system, because it is much cheaper to run and I actually get money back through the solar PV system and have recently applied for RHI. We definitely pay less than when we had an oil boiler for heating and hot water, so anybody looking to save money should consider the ASHP & Solar PV solution’
