Louise Howlett our Commercial Director has joined a group of Inspired Women on their programme run by Inspired Youth Projects Ltd.

The Inspired Women programme is an exciting opportunity for women from all walks of life to share their journeys and in doing so become inspirational characters to the next generation.  The programme is aimed at creating opportunities for local business women to work with small groups of young women.

Sharing personal journeys is a powerful way to inspire young people, no more so than talking about the challenges and successes people have experienced on the way.  Inspired Women looks at young women’s career aspirations, their inspirations, self esteem and confidence with the aim of providing support and mentoring to create a personal plan for their career development.

Louise attended her training, on International Women’s day and her two inspirational women were Prue Leith CBE, restaurateur and caterer, mainly because many years ago she heard her speak at an event and Prue described how she learnt a valuable lesson, when first starting out she was catering for dinner parties and through her need to please she always said yes to everything, however after failing and messing up, she managed to pick herself up and grew from strength to strength to become an international success.  The second inspirational woman was Dolly Parton, she came from a working class background and through hardwork and determination has risen above her humble roots and supports literacy and educational programmes.
