Award wins, team expansion and business growth. What a year!
We’ve had a fantastic 12 months here at R A Brown. Here are a few highlights.
In April 2013, we scooped the title of ‘Rural Heating Installer of the Year’ at the H&V News awards, presented with a trophy at a glittering ceremony in London.
While the autumn led to another flurry, being named a finalist by our leading regional paper, the EDP, in the Business awards for Small Business of the Year.
Hotly followed by listings in the EDP Future 50 and East Anglia Green 100 – recognising our ambitions to be a leading, growing and green company in the East.
This February, we heard we’ve made the final in two categories at the H&V News Awards. Winners will be announced in April, so please keep your fingers crossed for us!
Stop press: We’ve also just been given an award by City College Norwich as Apprentice Employer of the Year in the 10 – 250 employees category. We were delighted to be recognised for our growing Apprenticeship programme which started 14 years ago. This year we have three apprentices in our team.
All this has led to welcoming new faces to the team.
Sixteen members of staff are now based at our Norwich Showroom and office, latest additions include – full-time administrator Amanda Busby, fully qualified gas engineer Dean Girling and George Fletcher who is currently on work experience and will join us as an Apprentice.
While our commitment to training has seen three team members become fully qualified heat pump engineers. Including Luke Brooks, who graduated from Norwich City College last summer and was named CIPHE Apprentice of the Year.
Thank-you for your support.
